Plano, TX (September 30, 2025)A deadly crash killed one pedestrian and injured another on Tuesday morning, September 30, at the busy intersection of Parkwood Boulevard and Legacy Drive in Plano.

The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. when a gray Kia Kiro headed west on Legacy tried to turn left onto Parkwood. Investigators say the Kia struck the back driver’s side of an eastbound Ford Bronco. The impact flipped the Bronco onto the sidewalk, where it hit two people standing nearby.

Plano Fire-Rescue rushed both pedestrians to the hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, one victim later died from severe injuries. The second pedestrian is recovering and is expected to survive. Officials have not released the victim’s name while they notify the family.

Neither driver suffered injuries in the crash. Investigators stayed on scene for several hours gathering evidence to determine what caused the collision. They have not said whether speeding, distraction, or other factors played a role.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family affected by this heartbreaking loss. Our thoughts are also with the injured pedestrian, and we wish them a full recovery.
