Arlington, TX (December 1, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 in Arlington claimed one life and left another driver injured on Saturday, November 29. Arlington police said officers responded just before 2 a.m. to Interstate 30 near State Highway 360 and Great Southwest Parkway. Several 911 callers reported a major collision and a vehicle on fire.
When officers arrived, they found two cars involved in the wreck. Police identified the vehicles as a white sedan and a gray sedan. The white sedan had caught fire after the impact. Firefighters rushed in and worked to put out the flames. Once they gained access to the vehicle, they found the driver inside. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the gray sedan also suffered injuries in the crash. Paramedics provided care and transported that person to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials have not shared the extent of those injuries but confirmed the driver survived.
Investigators said both vehicles were traveling westbound on Interstate 30 when the white sedan lost control and struck the gray sedan. After that first collision, the white sedan hit a wall and burst into flames. Police have not explained why the white sedan lost control. They continue to review evidence from the roadway and speak with witnesses who may have seen the moments leading up to the crash.
The identity of the person who died has not been released. Police said they will share more information after notifying next of kin. The investigation remains active as officers work to confirm the exact cause of this tragic incident.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones during this painful time. We also wish the injured driver a full recovery as the investigation continues.
Car Accidents in Texas
Interstate crashes in Arlington and throughout Texas can turn deadly in seconds, especially during late-night and early-morning hours. At that time of day, visibility drops, traffic patterns change, and drivers may feel more comfortable speeding. Even a slight steering mistake or sudden lane shift can lead to a loss of control. On major routes like I-30, a single impact can trigger a chain of collisions because vehicles move at highway speeds and have little space to stop.
Two-vehicle crashes on highways often cause severe injuries because of the forces involved. When a vehicle hits another car and then strikes a wall, the body absorbs multiple impacts. Fires add another layer of danger. They can cause burn injuries, smoke inhalation, and make rescue more difficult. Even when someone survives, the physical and emotional recovery can take months.
For the injured survivor in a crash like this, compensation can cover hospital bills, follow-up treatment, rehabilitation, lost wages, and pain that affects daily life. These cases often require a careful review of evidence. Investigators may look at speed, driver behavior, roadway conditions, and whether distraction or impairment played any role. Dash camera footage, highway surveillance, vehicle data, and witness statements can help reveal why a driver lost control.
A car accident lawyer can help them understand those rights and pursue accountability. Claims may provide financial support for the losses tied to the crash.
Possible compensation in a car accident case may include:
- Medical bills for emergency care given before the victim passed away.
- Funeral and burial expenses, including memorial services.
- Loss of the victim’s income and future financial support.
- Loss of companionship, guidance, and care for close relatives.
Even when the cause is not clear at first, families should know they do not have to wait for every answer before seeking guidance. Acting early can preserve records and help protect your claim while police complete their review.
