Azle, TX (September 25, 2025) A violent multi-vehicle crash killed two people and injured three others on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, in Azle.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on FM 730 near Winding Way. Investigators said a northbound vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and slammed into two cars. Seconds later, two more vehicles crashed into the wrecked cars, adding to the pileup.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived quickly and pulled victims from the crushed vehicles. Two people died from their injuries at the scene. Crews rushed three others to nearby hospitals, where two remain in serious condition.

Authorities have not released the victims’ names. Officials closed FM 730 for several hours as investigators documented the scene and worked to determine what caused the deadly chain reaction.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. Our hearts are also with those injured, and we wish them strength and a full recovery.

Fatal Car Accidents in Texas

Two Killed, Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on FM 730Deadly car crashes remain a major threat on Texas roads, with hundreds of families losing loved ones each year. Highways and suburban roads, like FM 730 in Tarrant County, often see severe multi-vehicle wrecks caused by dangerous driving behaviors.

Key risk factors behind fatal crashes include:

  • Wrong-Way Driving: Even one mistake can lead to catastrophic head-on collisions.
  • Excessive Speed: Higher speeds reduce stopping distance and increase the force of impact.
  • Driver Distraction: Phones, navigation systems, and in-car screens can delay reaction time.
  • Fatigue: Tired drivers often drift into oncoming lanes.
  • Impaired Driving: Alcohol or drugs slow reflexes and cloud judgment, often leading to deadly mistakes behind the wheel.

Losing someone to a sudden crash leaves families facing not only grief but also medical bills, funeral costs, and lost income. Insurance companies often move quickly with low settlement offers that fail to cover long-term needs.

A brave wrongful death lawyer can investigate the crash, gather critical evidence, and fight to hold negligent drivers accountable. Families may seek compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and future financial stability.
