Benbrook, TX (August 1, 2025) – A serious crash occurred Thursday evening, July 31, just south of Benbrook, shutting down all lanes of Farm-to-Market Road 1187 near Winscott Plover Road. The accident, which took place around 6 p.m., involved multiple vehicles and left at least one person trapped inside.
Emergency response was swift, with personnel from the Cresson Fire Department, Benbrook Fire and EMS, and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office arriving on scene to provide aid. Due to the severity of the crash and the entrapment involved, CareFlite Air was placed on standby in case emergency transport was needed.
Traffic in the area came to a complete stop in all directions, with law enforcement urging drivers to seek alternative routes. Emergency responders worked carefully and thoroughly to extract victims and ensure their safety while maintaining control of the crash site. Paramedics transported the injured to nearby hospitals once they were freed.
