Dallas, TX (August 26, 2025) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday, August 23, near Elm Street and the Interstate 345 Ramp West.
The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. on August 24, when a dark-colored vehicle jumped the curb and struck 29-year-old Henry Jose Cruz as he walked with friends. The driver fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Paramedics responded and transported Cruz to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Witnesses at the scene reported that bystanders performed CPR before emergency crews arrived.
