El Paso County, TX (October 14, 2025) – Two teenagers suffered severe injuries in a dirt bike crash on Monday evening, October 13, in El Paso County. The crash happened around 5:40 p.m. at an abandoned golf course near Rolling Ridge Road, south of Marksheffel Road and Lorson Boulevard.
Investigators said the teens, ages 13 and 14, were riding separately when they rode up the same hill from opposite directions. Both bikes went airborne and collided midair. The 13-year-old’s bike ended up underneath the 14-year-old’s, and the back tire struck him in the head.
First responders found both boys lying on the ground, separated from their bikes. Despite wearing helmets, they suffered serious injuries. Paramedics rushed the 14-year-old to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A helicopter airlifted the 13-year-old, who sustained life-threatening head injuries, to a trauma center for emergency treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
