Car Accidents in Texas
Car accidents remain one of the leading causes of injury in Texas. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, someone is injured in a crash every two minutes. Major highways like I-10 in El Paso see a high volume of serious wrecks due to heavy traffic, lane merges, and late-night driving.
For those injured, the aftermath can be overwhelming. Along with the shock of the crash, victims and their families often face a long list of medical, financial, and legal challenges.
Some of the most common struggles after a serious crash include:
- Emergency Medical Treatment: Many victims are rushed to the Emergency Room (ER), where doctors look for hidden injuries such as brain trauma, spinal damage, or internal bleeding.
- Ongoing Medical Costs: Surgeries, rehabilitation, and follow-up visits can create long-term financial pressure.
- Lost Income: Serious injuries often prevent victims from returning to work, straining household finances.
- Insurance Disputes: Adjusters may try to settle quickly, before the true cost of recovery is known.
- Emotional Distress: Anxiety, confusion, and trauma frequently linger after the physical wounds begin to heal.
- Legal Complexity: Collecting police reports, medical records, and crash evidence takes time and knowledge that most families don’t have during recovery.
In situations like this, contacting an El Paso car accident attorney immediately is important. An attorney can deal with the insurance company, gather key evidence, and fight for the full compensation you need to move forward.
