Fabens, TX (December 11, 2025) – A devastating three-vehicle crash claimed one life and left two others injured on Wednesday morning, December 10, in Fabens. The collision happened around 5:30 a.m. near the 17000 block of Alameda Avenue, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said a red Chevrolet Silverado and an SUV were heading west on Alameda Avenue when a gray pickup truck approached from the east. As the SUV attempted to pass the Silverado, it collided head-on with the oncoming pickup. Seconds later, the Silverado struck the SUV, causing heavy damage to all three vehicles.
Emergency crews arrived quickly and found debris scattered across both lanes. Paramedics treated the injured drivers at the scene before taking them to a nearby hospital for additional care. Despite lifesaving efforts, the driver of the SUV, a 54-year-old woman from Tornillo, died at the scene from her injuries.
Investigators remained at the crash site for several hours, collecting debris, documenting tire marks, and speaking with witnesses to determine how the collision occurred. The investigation remains ongoing.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family who lost their loved one. Our thoughts are also with those injured, and we wish them a full and steady recovery.
Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Fatal multi-vehicle crashes in Texas are among the most destructive events on the road. Busy routes like Alameda Avenue in El Paso County see a constant mix of local and work-related traffic, which increases the risk of serious collisions.
Some of the most common conditions that contribute to deadly multi-vehicle crashes include:
- Low visibility, where darkness or early daylight reduces a driver’s ability to clearly see oncoming traffic.
- Limited reaction time which occurs when vehicles travel close together and leave little space to respond.
- High-impact collisions, especially in head-on or chain-reaction crashes involving multiple vehicles.
- Busy roadway conditions, where steady traffic increases the risk of multi-vehicle involvement.
In crashes involving several vehicles, impact forces multiply as cars strike each other in rapid succession. These violent chain reactions can cause catastrophic injuries such as severe head trauma, crushed bones, internal bleeding, or fatal spinal cord damage. For families, the aftermath is life-altering, filled with grief, financial strain, and unanswered questions.
When a loved one dies in a multi-vehicle crash, Texas law allows surviving family members to seek compensation through a wrongful death claim. This may help cover medical expenses related to the crash, funeral and burial costs, lost income, and the loss of companionship and support.
Insurance companies often contact grieving families soon after fatal crashes with early settlement offers that may not reflect the true value of their loss. A compassionate wrongful death attorney can investigate the crash, gather evidence, and fight for the compensation your family deserves.
