Farmers Branch, TX (November 2, 2025) – A violent two-vehicle crash on Friday, October 31, claimed one life and left several others seriously injured at the intersection of Marsh Lane and Wooded Creek Drive in Farmers Branch.
Police said the crash happened around 1:00 a.m. when the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe sped through a red light while heading north on Marsh Lane. The Tahoe slammed into a Mazda moving through the intersection, causing a violent impact that crushed both vehicles.
The driver of the Mazda, 25-year-old Jonathan Tran, died at the scene. Paramedics transported the Tahoe driver and several passengers to nearby hospitals for emergency care. Police confirmed that everyone inside the SUV suffered serious injuries.
Detectives with the Farmers Branch Police Department gathered evidence, interviewed witnesses, and reviewed nearby surveillance footage to determine what led to the deadly collision. Officers said criminal charges are expected once the investigation concludes.
