Fort Worth police said officers arrived around 7:30 p.m. and found one vehicle traveling the wrong way before the crash. Emergency medical teams arrived quickly to treat the injured victims before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

Officials have not yet released the victims’ conditions or confirmed what led the driver to enter the freeway in the wrong direction. The Traffic Investigation Unit is reviewing evidence and witness accounts to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we wish each of them a full and speedy recovery.

Car Accidents in Texas3 Injured in Wrong-Way Collision on I-30 Near Jennings

High-speed collisions, such as wrong-way crashes, often cause severe trauma due to the combined impact of both vehicles. In Texas, where major highways like I-30 see constant heavy traffic, wrong-way crashes are among the most dangerous and life-threatening types of car accidents.

Victims of these accidents can sustain serious and long-term injuries, including:

  • Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) from the force of impact.
  • Spinal cord injuries, which can lead to partial or complete paralysis.
  • Broken bones and fractures, especially in the arms, legs, and ribs.
  • Internal bleeding and organ damage that require emergency surgery.
  • Neck and back injuries, including whiplash and herniated discs.
  • Severe burns or lacerations from airbags or vehicle fires.

Even with prompt medical care, recovery from these types of injuries can take months or even years. Victims may face lost wages, ongoing rehabilitation, and emotional trauma long after the crash.

A knowledgeable car accident attorney can help victims understand their rights and pursue compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, and other damages caused by a negligent driver. Legal representation is crucial when investigating liability, negotiating with insurance companies, and building a strong case for recovery.
