Fort Worth, TX (November 10, 2025) – Several people sustained injuries on Monday, November 10, after a wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on the South Freeway near East Morningside Drive in Fort Worth.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the collision occurred around 2:15 a.m. when a driver heading north in the southbound lanes of the South Freeway struck three vehicles, including a city-owned vehicle and two semi-trucks. The impact caused significant damage and forced emergency crews to close the express lanes indefinitely.

Responders arrived quickly and found the wrong-way driver pinned beneath one of the semi-trucks. Firefighters worked to extricate the driver, who was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. One of the semi-truck drivers was also taken to the hospital for evaluation of injuries.

Authorities believe alcohol played a role in the crash. A traffic detective is currently leading the investigation. Officials have not yet announced when the southbound lanes will reopen.

Our thoughts are with the injured individuals, and we wish them all a full and speedy recovery.

Multi-Vehicle Crash in TexasWrong-Way Multi-Vehicle Crash Caused Injuries on South Fwy near E Morningside Dr

Wrong-way collisions are among the most dangerous types of accidents because they often occur at high speeds and involve multiple vehicles. Across Texas, these crashes can cause devastating injuries and lasting trauma for victims and their families. Beyond the physical harm, accident survivors often face overwhelming medical bills, emotional distress, and financial hardship.

Victims of wrong-way collisions and other serious car accidents may be eligible to pursue a personal injury claim to recover damages. These claims often involve injuries such as:

  • Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) caused by head impact or airbag deployment
  • Neck and back injuries, including whiplash and spinal disc damage
  • Broken bones and fractures from forceful impact
  • Internal injuries such as organ damage or internal bleeding
  • Chest and rib injuries due to seatbelt restraint or airbag pressure
  • Severe lacerations and contusions from glass or debris
  • Psychological trauma, including anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Even injuries that initially appear minor can lead to long-term complications if not properly treated. Seeking medical attention immediately after a collision is critical — not only for your health but also for protecting your legal rights.

When alcohol is suspected in a crash, victims may also be entitled to additional compensation due to the reckless nature of the driver’s conduct. Proving liability in these cases requires evidence such as police reports, witness statements, toxicology results, and expert testimony. An experienced personal injury lawyer can guide victims through the process and ensure they receive fair compensation for their suffering.
