Fort Worth, TX (July 23, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident involving a Fort Worth Police Department unit was reported on July 22 along Golden Triangle Boulevard as officers were responding to a call for service.

According to officials, two FWPD officers were inside a marked police vehicle when it was hit by another car. The impact caused the police unit to overturn and land on top of a third vehicle. The crash happened during daylight hours and quickly drew a large emergency response from local police, fire, and EMS teams.

An adult woman involved in the crash sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. Both officers in the patrol unit were also taken to a local medical facility to be examined. Their current conditions have not been made public. At least one person was confirmed injured, and multiple vehicles were damaged in the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation. Golden Triangle Boulevard experienced delays as authorities worked the scene, and an official report is expected to be released after the investigation concludes.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Texas

Fort Worth, TX - Police Unit Flips in Crash on Golden Triangle BlvdIn Texas, motor vehicle crashes are an unfortunate part of daily life. According to recent data from the Texas Department of Public Safety, thousands of accidents occur annually, often resulting in injuries or worse. Urban areas, in particular, see a higher rate of collisions due to dense traffic and ongoing construction. Texas remains one of the states with the highest number of vehicle accidents nationwide.

Accidents can cause more than physical injury—they affect lives in multiple ways. Here are some key things to understand:

  • Traumatic Brain Injuries: Brain trauma is one of the most serious outcomes of car crashes. Symptoms may not always appear right away, but they can lead to long-term complications such as memory loss, mood changes, and coordination issues.
  • Fractures and Broken Bones: Impact forces can break arms, legs, ribs, or hips. Some fractures require surgery and extended rehabilitation periods.
  • Whiplash and Neck Injuries: Sudden movement of the head during an accident can damage soft tissues in the neck. These injuries may seem minor, but often linger for months and interfere with daily life.
  • Mental and Emotional Distress: Survivors of accidents may suffer from anxiety, depression, or PTSD. These conditions can make it harder to return to normal activities or get behind the wheel again.
  • Spinal Cord Damage: Damage to the spinal cord can result in limited mobility or, in severe cases, paralysis. Recovery often involves surgery, therapy, and lifestyle adjustments.
