Fort Worth, TX (December 2, 2025) – A serious wrong-way collision on Monday, December 1, shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 30 near Interstate 35W in downtown Fort Worth. The Texas Department of Transportation issued an alert at 2:35 p.m., warning drivers to expect major delays and use alternate routes.

Officers rushed to the scene just after 2 p.m. following reports of a collision near the Henderson Street exit. Witnesses said an SUV was traveling the wrong way on a ramp when it slammed into a pickup truck. The SUV rolled onto its side, blocking the left lane and scattering debris across the road.

Emergency crews arrived within minutes. Paramedics transported both drivers to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Police arrested the SUV driver accused of traveling the wrong way. Authorities have not released the suspect’s name or additional details about the arrest.

Crews cleared the wreckage and reopened all lanes around 3:40 p.m. Officers gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses to determine what led to the crash. The Fort Worth Police Department continues to investigate the incident.

We hope everyone affected in this crash makes a full recovery.

Car Accidents in Texas

Wrong-Way Collision Shuts Down I-30Texas roadways see thousands of serious crashes every year, especially in busy metropolitan areas like Fort Worth. High speeds, congested traffic, and constant lane changes make highways such as Interstate 30 particularly dangerous. A single moment of inattention can cause life-changing injuries or even deadly results.

Wrong-way crashes often happen when drivers enter ramps in the wrong direction, become disoriented, or lose focus while using electronic devices. Poor visibility, unclear signage, and congestion can also lead to chain-reaction collisions that cause severe injuries and major traffic delays.

Common injuries from major crashes include:

  • Head and neck trauma such as concussions, whiplash, or spinal injuries
  • Broken bones in the arms, legs, or ribs
  • Internal bleeding or organ damage
  • Emotional trauma and post-accident anxiety

Recovering from a serious crash often requires long hospital stays, months of therapy, and time away from work. Many victims face growing medical bills and emotional distress while trying to regain stability.

Victims may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and vehicle damage. Unfortunately, insurance companies often minimize or delay payments. Working with an experienced car accident lawyer protects your rights and helps you recover the maximum compensation you deserve.

At Salam & Associates, we stand with crash victims across Texas. We investigate the crash, gather evidence, and negotiate with insurance companies to secure fair outcomes.
