Plano, TX (October 22, 2025) – A 28-year-old man sustained serious injuries on Wednesday, October 22, in a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound Sam Rayburn Tollway near the Custer Road exit in Plano.

The collision happened around 4:15 a.m. when a white pickup truck and a black Chevrolet collided in the eastbound lanes. The impact scattered debris across the roadway and left both vehicles with heavy damage.

Emergency crews arrived within minutes and found one man injured at the scene. Paramedics provided immediate medical care before taking him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Officials have not shared details about his current condition.

Officers with the Plano Police Department closed the affected lanes for several hours while investigating the crash. They collected evidence, documented the scene, and spoke with witnesses to determine what led to the collision. Investigators are reviewing whether speeding, distraction, or fatigue played a role in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.

We wish the injured man a full and swift recovery.

Car Accidents in Texas

28-Year-Old Man Injured in Crash on Sam Rayburn TollwayCar crashes happen every day across Texas. Busy cities like Plano face even greater risks as heavy traffic and fast-paced commutes make collisions more likely. Even a single moment of inattention can cause devastating injuries that turn daily routines into lifelong struggles.

Victims often face severe physical and emotional consequences such as:

  • Head Injuries: Victims may suffer concussions or traumatic brain injuries that affect memory, balance, and coordination.
  • Spinal Cord Damage: Severe back injuries or paralysis can limit movement and reduce independence.
  • Broken Bones: Fractures often require surgery, therapy, and long recovery periods.
  • Emotional Trauma: Many victims experience anxiety, depression, or fear that disrupts daily life.
  • Financial Burdens: Ongoing medical bills and lost income can place heavy strain on families.

If you or a loved one was hurt in a car accident, you may be entitled to compensation. This can include payment for medical expenses, property damage, lost income, and pain and suffering. Unfortunately, insurance companies often delay or minimize payouts, making recovery even harder.

A skilled car accident lawyer can protect your rights, gather evidence, and negotiate directly with insurers to secure the full compensation you deserve.
