Car Accidents in Texas

One Injured After Two Vehicles Collide on Hedgecoxe Rd Near Coit RdCar crashes happen every day across Texas, especially in growing areas like Plano. With heavy traffic, construction zones, and daily commuters, even a moment of distraction can lead to a serious collision. Intersections such as Hedgecoxe Road and Coit Road are known for frequent traffic flow, making them common spots for crashes involving injuries.

These accidents often occur because of several preventable factors, including:

  • Distracted Driving: Looking at a phone or other devices takes eyes off the road at the worst time.
  • Speeding: Traveling too fast gives drivers less time to brake or avoid an obstacle.
  • Failure to Yield: Turning without checking for oncoming traffic leads to dangerous side impacts.
  • Following Too Closely: Tailgating reduces stopping distance, increasing the risk of rear-end crashes.
  • Poor Visibility: Rain, glare, or nighttime driving can make it hard to spot other vehicles or signals.

Even crashes that seem minor can cause lasting injuries. Victims often experience whiplash, back strain, or head trauma that shows up hours or days later. Getting checked by a doctor right away is the safest choice. Medical records, bills, and photos of the crash can also help protect your rights if you later file an insurance claim.

Insurance companies sometimes push for quick settlements that don’t cover full recovery costs. Before signing anything, it’s wise to speak with a car accident lawyer who understands Texas law and can negotiate for fair compensation.
