Richardson, TX (October 31, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon, October 28, on the southbound Highway 75 exit ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike. The crash occurred around 3:56 p.m. and resulted in injuries to occupants of one of the vehicles involved.
Authorities reported that the vehicles—a white Ford Escape and a blue Honda Civic—sustained moderate damage. Paramedics treated the injured individuals at the scene before transporting them for further evaluation. Police temporarily blocked the ramp to manage traffic and clear debris, causing significant delays in the area.
Drivers were urged to find alternate routes until the roadway was reopened.
The Richardson Police Department continues to investigate what caused the accident.
Our thoughts are with those injured, and we hope for their full recovery.
Car Accidents in Texas
Car accidents can happen in an instant, leaving drivers unsure of what to do next. Following the right steps after a crash can protect your health, safety, and legal rights. Whether the collision is minor or serious, acting quickly and carefully can make all the difference.
Here are important steps to take after a car accident in Texas:
- Check for injuries. Your safety and the safety of others should always come first. If anyone is hurt, call 911 immediately.
- Move to safety. If possible, move vehicles out of traffic to prevent further collisions or hazards.
- Call the police. Always report the accident to law enforcement, even for minor crashes. A police report is a vital record for insurance and legal purposes.
- Document the scene. Take photos of the vehicles, roadway, and any visible injuries. Gather names and contact information from witnesses.
- Seek medical attention. Even if you feel fine, it’s important to get checked by a doctor. Some injuries, like whiplash or internal trauma, may not show symptoms right away.
- Notify your insurance company. Report the crash as soon as possible and provide accurate details about the incident.
- Contact a car accident lawyer. Legal representation is crucial when dealing with insurance companies or potential liability disputes. An experienced attorney can protect your rights, negotiate settlements, and ensure you receive fair compensation.
Recovering from a crash can be stressful, but professional guidance can make the process smoother.
