Arlington, TX (September 6, 2025) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a passenger and sent the driver to the hospital after a crash on Friday, September 5. The incident occurred along Highway 360 near the I-30 exit in Arlington.

Police said a 19-year-old man turned toward the exit ramp in the early morning hours, lost control of his vehicle, and slammed into a metal guardrail. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.

The 20-year-old passenger died at the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release her identity once her family has been notified.

Investigators are still reviewing the events that led up to the wreck, and speed has not been ruled out as a possible factor.

The investigation is ongoing. More details will be shared as they become available.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the victim’s family during this devastating time. Our hearts also go out to the injured driver, and we hope for a full and swift recovery.

Fatal Car Accidents in Texas

Texas continues to face alarming rates of deadly crashes. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that one person dies in a traffic collision every two hours on state roadways. Many of these tragedies happen in urban areas like Arlington, where busy highways and high speeds increase the risk of deadly wrecks.

Many deadly crashes in Texas share common risk factors. Recognizing these dangers can help explain why tragedies like the Arlington accident occur:

  • Speeding: Higher speeds reduce driver reaction time and make collisions more severe.
  • Distracted Driving: Phones, navigation systems, or other distractions lead to deadly mistakes behind the wheel.
  • Impaired Driving: Alcohol or drug use slows reflexes and clouds judgment, increasing the chance of fatal crashes.
  • Fatigue: Drowsy driving can cause motorists to drift across lanes or miss critical traffic signals.
  • Aggressive Driving: Tailgating, weaving through lanes, or unsafe passing often leads to devastating wrecks.

For families left behind, the aftermath can feel overwhelming. When a loved one dies in a crash, families face not only emotional devastation but also unexpected financial burdens. Texas law allows surviving family members to pursue wrongful death claims. This may provide financial relief by covering funeral expenses, medical bills, lost income, and other damages.

However, filing a claim while grieving can be overwhelming. This is where an experienced

A wrongful death attorney can make all the difference. An attorney can investigate the crash, preserve evidence, and ensure that families receive the justice and compensation they deserve.
