Dallas, TX (July 28, 2025) – A deadly motor vehicle accident occurred early Sunday morning in southern Dallas, prompting a prolonged closure of northbound lanes along Spur 408.
At around 1:45 a.m. on July 27, Dallas police officers responded to a crash near Kiest Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered that two vehicles had been involved in a violent collision. Tragically, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dallas Police Department is actively investigating the events that led up to the crash. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that northbound lanes on Spur 408 remained closed for nearly 12 hours while investigators and cleanup crews worked through the aftermath. The road reopened around 1:30 p.m.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased, and it remains unclear whether any other individuals were injured or transported for medical attention.
