Truck Accidents in Texas
Truck accidents remain one of the most severe threats on Texas roads. The size and weight of these vehicles often turn routine crashes into catastrophic events. Dallas and surrounding counties regularly see truck collisions that cause lasting injuries, extensive property damage, and tragic fatalities.
Common causes of truck crashes in Texas include:
- Speeding: Large trucks need more time and distance to stop. Excess speed makes collisions more destructive.
- Driver fatigue: Truck drivers often face long hours. Exhaustion can slow reaction times and impair judgment.
- Weather Hazards: Rain and poor road conditions make it harder for heavy trucks to maintain control.
- Mechanical Failure: Brake or tire issues can cause devastating accidents when trucks lose control.
- Distracted Driving: Phones, GPS systems, or even eating behind the wheel take a driver’s attention off the road.
Victims of truck accidents often suffer broken bones, head injuries, spinal trauma, or burns from fires and explosions. Recovery may take months or years, leaving families with overwhelming medical bills and lost income.
