Fort Worth, TX (November 14, 2025) – One man suffered critical injuries early Friday morning, November 14, after a multi-vehicle crash shut down part of Northwest Highway 287 in North Fort Worth. The collision happened around 2 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway near Blue Mound Road.
Fort Worth police officers arrived quickly and found a heavily damaged van and a tow truck involved in the crash. Investigators determined that the van and the tow truck collided, causing the van’s driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency responders gave immediate aid and transported the man to a local hospital. He remains in critical condition. The tow truck driver did not report any injuries and was not taken to the hospital.
The crash left major debris along the roadway and damaged a highway barrier. Crews worked for several hours to clean the scene and repair the broken barrier. Officers closed the northbound lanes of NW 287 during the investigation and cleanup before reopening them later in the morning.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
We hope the injured man receives the care needed for a full and steady recovery.
Traffic Accidents in Texas
Traffic accidents in Texas can lead to severe injuries, especially on fast-moving highways. High speeds, heavy traffic, and the presence of large commercial vehicles increase the risk of serious harm when collisions occur. In accidents involving ejections, victims often face long-term medical challenges and extensive recovery periods.
Highway crashes can leave victims struggling with a range of injuries, including brain trauma, spinal damage, broken bones, and internal injuries. Ejection crashes are especially dangerous because the victim has no protection from the force of impact. These injuries may require surgery, hospital stays, rehabilitation, and long-term medical care.
Here are some of the most common injuries victims may face after serious highway collisions:
- Traumatic brain injuries, which affect memory, behavior, and concentration
- Spine injuries that may cause chronic pain or mobility limitations
- Broken bones, especially in the arms, legs, ribs, or pelvis
- Internal bleeding or organ damage that requires immediate treatment
- Severe cuts or lacerations from roadway debris or crushed metal
These injuries often lead to costly medical bills, lost income, emotional stress, and changes in daily life. Because crashes involving tow trucks, commercial vehicles, and ejections can be legally complex, many victims seek support from an experienced personal injury attorney to protect their rights.
A skilled lawyer can investigate the crash, gather evidence, speak with insurance companies, and help victims pursue compensation for medical care, lost wages, rehabilitation, and pain and suffering.
