Dallas, TX (November 2, 2025) – A major two-vehicle crash on Saturday, November 1, left five people injured after a violent collision on Spur 408 near West Kiest Boulevard in southwest Dallas.

Police said the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. when two vehicles collided along the northbound lanes of Spur 408. The impact sent both cars spinning across the roadway, leaving debris scattered and traffic at a standstill.

Dallas Fire-Rescue rushed to the scene and provided immediate medical aid. Paramedics transported all five victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. One person remains in critical condition, while the others suffered serious injuries but are expected to recover.

Traffic backed up for more than an hour as crews cleared wreckage and reopened the lanes. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, collected debris evidence, and interviewed witnesses to determine how the crash occurred. Investigators are looking into whether speeding, distraction, or reckless driving caused the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

Our thoughts are with everyone hurt in this crash, and we wish them a full and swift recovery.

Car Accidents in Texas

Five Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 408Crashes like this are a painful reminder of how dangerous Texas highways can be. The Texas Department of Transportation reports thousands of serious crashes every year, many of them caused by speeding, distraction, or reckless behavior. Intersections and highway ramps across Dallas County are especially prone to severe accidents due to high speeds and heavy traffic flow.

The most common causes of serious car accidents in Texas include:

  • Speeding: Excessive speeds reduce control and make crashes more violent.
  • Distracted Driving: Texting or looking away for even a moment can cause disaster.
  • Impaired Driving: Alcohol or drugs slow reaction time and cloud judgment.
  • Reckless Driving: Aggressive lane changes and tailgating endanger everyone on the road.
  • Fatigue: Drowsy drivers react slowly and often drift into other lanes.

Car accidents often leave victims facing painful injuries, medical bills, and emotional trauma. Many people struggle with physical recovery while also worrying about lost wages and long-term financial pressure. These challenges can feel overwhelming.

When serious crashes happen, victims may be entitled to compensation for medical costs, pain and suffering, lost income, and property damage. Insurance companies often try to settle quickly for less than what victims truly deserve, so it’s important to get strong legal support right away.

A skilled car accident lawyer can protect your rights, handle insurers, and build a case for full compensation.
