El Paso, TX (September 3, 2025) – On September 1, officials identified Alejandro Rodriguez, 48, as the victim of a deadly motorcycle crash in East El Paso.

The fatal crash occurred around 2:28 a.m. on Sunday, August 31, along Interstate 10 near the Don Haskins exit. Alejandro Rodriguez was riding his Kawasaki Ninja when a Ford Mustang struck him from behind. The impact ejected Rodriguez from the motorcycle.

Emergency personnel responded quickly. Despite their efforts, Rodriguez died shortly after the collision.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. More information will be provided as updates become available.

We extend our deepest condolences to Rodriguez’s family during this tragic time.

Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Texas

Fatal motorcycle accidents remain a serious concern across Texas. Unlike passengers in cars or trucks, riders have little protection against larger vehicles or high-speed crashes. Even a single rear-end collision can be deadly.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that hundreds of motorcyclists die every year on Texas roads. Many of these tragic crashes happen in urban areas where traffic is heavy, and drivers may fail to notice motorcycles in time.

Common risks that lead to severe motorcycle crashes include:

  • Rear-End Collisions: Drivers who follow too closely often cannot stop in time, putting motorcyclists at grave risk.
  • Distracted Driving: Cell phone use, eating, or adjusting in-car systems can cause drivers to miss motorcycles in their path.
  • Failure to Yield: Many riders are struck when other drivers make unsafe turns or fail to give them the right of way.
  • Visibility Issues: Motorcycles are smaller and harder to see, especially at night or in poor weather conditions.
  • High-Impact Injuries: Helmets and protective gear reduce risks but cannot prevent severe or fatal outcomes in major crashes.

Families left behind after a fatal motorcycle crash face overwhelming grief and sudden financial strain. Funeral expenses, medical bills, and the loss of income can make an already devastating time even harder. In Texas, families may pursue wrongful death claims to hold negligent drivers accountable and recover compensation for their losses.

If your loved one died in a motorcycle accident, you should contact an experienced wrongful accident lawyer immediately. A lawyer can guide you through the legal process, protect your rights, and pursue justice on your behalf.
